This course aims to address the following:
- Provides background for process control, explains several important concepts such as special and common causes of variation. It also introduces the control chart, which can be a very effective tool for analyzing and monitoring processes.
- Describes the construction and use of control charts for both variables data and attributes data.
- Describes other types of control charts that can be used for specialized situations - probability based charts, short-sun charts, charts for detecting small changes, non-normal, multivariate and other charts.
- Addresses process capability analysis.
